If you keep a saltwater aquarium, you know that you will need to replace evaporated water with new fresh (unsalted) water. In my particular system, I use an auto top-off system (ATO) the will automatically pump fresh water into my system from a holding vassal near by. I started by using a five gallon bucket, but it would only be about a week before I needed to refill it. I looked at larger containers, but had concerns about them possible leaching unknown chemicals into my system. What I decided on was an Aqueon 20 gallon “high” glass tank. For me it was large enough to last a few weeks and it was only $20 during Petco's $1 per gallon sale.

This print requires a large format printer for the larger halves. Print 2 of cover plates, 1 of the handles and 1 of the bulkhead plates. Put the cover plates together by joining the stepped edges together until the holes line up. Inset the screws through the handle, then though the aligned holes in the cover plate. Secure with nuts on the other side. Next, glue the bulkhead plate to 1 side of the take. This part doesn't have much mass and gluing it down will help keep it in place.

Since I designed this for use with the Neptune Systems PUMP, the "plug" can be fished though the bulkhead hole before the bulkhead is inserted. There is a narrow cutout that will accommodate the power cord after the bulkhead is installed.

Note: The included handle was directly sourced from j0s3b4 on Thingiverse.

Parts

2 x plastic screws with nuts (stainless steel should work)

1 x push fit bulkhead

Hot glue or super glue
