EDIT (4/6/2015): Added Logo and non-logo versions of the body (V1.1) which feature the following improvements: Removed mag tab, it was useless, weak, and made a raft a necessity (though looked cool) Variable radius edge blend inside mag area to help printing Reduced length where back of cartridge goes by 0.5mm to help feeding issues observed in Lancer AW mags. Old ram still works. Introducing the beginning of my 5th generation of modeling! These parts feature full parametrization (unfortunately for TV users, not OpenSCAD) and awesome renders! This is my first attempt at a parameterized model and it has turned out great! This was an awesome learning experience, simple enough to not get too bogged down, yet complex enough to be more useful than a box. Unfortunately Thingiverse doesn't support TIF apparently, so I had to convert to PNG. Fun Facts about the AR-15: Despite some lawmakers opinions in hippie states, there is PLENTY of sporting purpose in an AR-15, they are my school rifle team's go to gun because it is lightweight, accurate, and low powered, thus controllable. AR stands for "Armalite Rifle" not "Assault Rifle" after the original company that produced it back in the day. The semi-auto civilian versions are SPORTING RIFLES not so called "assault rifles". Police and the military get the fully-automatic (select-fire) assault rifles. It's attraction to millions of competition and recreational shooters alike is the light weight, accuracy, and low power, making it easy to control. (Really trying to hammer home the fact that despite some media know-it-alls claims, it is very weak as far as rifles go. It is too weak to be used to hunt deer in some states) It is also fully modular and has a variety of standards to ensure parts and accessories from other rifles will be universally compatible with all AR platform guns of the same caliber. It is this property that has caused it to be the most popular rifle to make 3D printed accessories for. Instructions Got dimensions of other magazine loader and wanted to port to new software as a learning experience. The goal was to make it use less material while also looking nicer. It should function just as well or better than the source file (had issues with Lancer AWM magazines). Print 100% infill, .1-.2 layer height.
