This was an experimental fake cork-bark tube for my arboreal pet tarantulas.

On the side of the base, you will find a stand/holder for a bottle cap for water.

I applied a layer of "aquarium silicone" and covered it with peat moss to look realistic "please ensure it is aquarium silicone and it must not contain a fungicide component found in most silicone"

I used PLA perhaps safer for your tarantula/s, ensure all sharp parts are smooth for your tarantulas safety.

Tarantulas sometimes like a second entrance, that is the purpose of the side hole - the hole should face to the back - where light does not shine into the hide.

I currently have 3 set up, 2 with p.metallica and the 3rd with a c. versicolor 2 more for my p.irminia's in the pipeline all tarantulas webbed the hides and look like they are comfy.

Make sure if you can that the filament has not been sprayed with pesticide "perhaps chasing a fly?" and use a non toxic adhesive /glue stick or use a raft if unsure about the bed adhesive.

Unfortunately i have to mention I can not accept responsibility if something happens to your beloved tarantula - mostly due to an unforeseen ingredient in e.g a glue stick for example.

apologies for the long story print with normal pla settings layer height of .04 crazy fast may lead to some / minor? imperfections on the overhang on side entrance

Print instructions

Pics are from the same print, that was done crazy fast at .04mm on my ender 2

print with normal pla settings layer height of .04 crazy fast may lead to some / minor? imperfections on the overhang on side entrance
