My wife absolutely adores her Arctic Flight iPad stand both at home and on airplanes, but she recently finally upgraded from her old iPad 3 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPad_%283rd_generation%29) to the latest 2018 9.7" iPad (https://www.apple.com/ipad-9.7/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPad_%282018%29). Of course the new iPad is a different size and doesn't fit in the bracket correctly, and she refused to even unwrap the iPad until I made it work. What is the Arctic Flight? It's an iPad holder/stand designed to smash into the tray table of an airplane seat to hold your iPad at eye level (http://youtu.be/jC7rp4rIRAQ). It's genius really and I'm surprised it's not more popular. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore, as it was a typical one-and-done Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/501583891/arctic-flight-let-your-ipad-fly) in 2012. I got hers off Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EJO01A2/ref=cm_sw_su_dp) in 2014 and then got another one off eBay in case it breaks. This piece nestles into the bracket and makes up the difference in width (16.2mm) and thickness (1.9mm). If anyone else is out there still using their Arctic Flight with a different model of iPad, it shouldn't be too hard to modify this from my TinkerCAD design: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/i7fdBwHR1mc. Alternatively, if you ask nicely, I might even just do it for you.
