ArDrone 1.0 retrofit for RC
thingiverse
Finally caught the quad-copter bug again. Began looking for a quad-copter frame but fell in love with the clean ArDrone look instead. Had an old ArDrone 1.0 lying around, so decided to fire up OpenSCAD and create some custom parts for a RC conversion. Goal was to keep original ArDrone frame and foam pieces as untouched as possible. Expecting to use: AfroFlight Naze32 Full flight controller, four qty 2409-12 180W motors, four qty 25A ESC, three series 11.1v Lipo pack, and an 8x6 or 9x4.7 prop (haven't made up my mind yet). Working on this project in my spare time, so design and build will take some time. Will add more parts once I get them finished. Instructions Used OpenSCAD for CAD designs. Printed on my RichRep 3DR delta printer.
