I am building a string of bauble ornaments that is lit by an RGB LED. The specialty of this project is that each bauble is lit by an RGB LED whose individual color could be set using an Arduino. The wiring tutorial is available from here: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neopixel-uberguide/overviewI was able to get this going by just wiring it up and sticking an LED inside each bauble I am just using this Arduino neopixel sketch: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_NeoPixel/blob/master/examples/strandtest/strandtest.inoEach bauble is lit by a separate color (in the rainbow mode). I am also embossing text on each bauble to spell "Merry Christmas". In the attached pictures, there is a bauble with the letter A embossed in red color. I need 50 baubles for this project. I have printed 4 so far. I have to tweak my text size to make the text bigger on the bauble. I plan to either drape it on the tree as a string of baubles interconnected by the LEDs or install it on the window. Since the color of each bauble could be set, it is going to give a unique lighting affect to the decor.
