Arduino Foot Pedal

Arduino Foot Pedal

thingiverse

Compact, modular foot pedal and 2 button case for Arduino Leonardo or Uno-R3. (note: uno does not support usb-MIDI or keyboard natively and would require a firmware flash to be used this way). The pedal prints in one piece with the incorporated hinge. It works better printed flat, but can be printed on its side to save space on smaller printers (the hinge is stiffer that way, but my test print still worked OK). I got the push buttons off Amazon - Gikfun 12mm Waterproof Push Button Momentary On Off Switch. They have 12 mm threads. They feel pretty cheap, but the spring has held up pretty well under the foot pedal. I'm using it as an actuator for the VR kick drum and hi-hat in [Paradiddle](https://store.steampowered.com/app/685240/Paradiddle/), with the 2 top buttons for mic mute and channel mute in Discord. I just used extra long leads to get the pedals further apart (earlier test version pictured above). Code is here: https://pastebin.com/M658ZhEj (update 2019-06-21) added optional links to hook up 2 or 3 pedals. (update 2019-07-14) Code fixes: changed pedal to USB-MIDI output, improved performance of kick drum, hi-hat now works properly
