Arduino LED Coaster

Arduino LED Coaster

thingiverse

This arduino controlled coaster was created to help me stay on top of my water consumption at work. Each LED is lit blue for exactly 1 hour before turning green, letting me know that I should have consumed one 8oz glass by he time the next led is lit. By the end of the work day I should have finished eight 8oz glasses. If you go over 8 hours, a new color is introduced to help in keeping track. The timer was sped up for the sake of the video. I had a co-worker that loved the design but doesn't drink much water. However, she takes medication so I changed the timer to suit her needs. Now whenever the led is lit she knows to take her meds. How will you use the coaster? Instructions Print the two files, I printed these on a Replicator 2 at 10% infill on the lowest setting. Install an Arduino Mini Pro, wire Ground, VCC and pin 6 to a string of 8 WS2812 LEDs. Add a battery or wire a USB cable using only the ground and 5v wires. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEBhgpEKNW0&feature=youtu.be
