Arduino Mega 2560 Case + Mount
thingiverse
Here is a case designed to house the Arduino Mega 2560 + RAMPS controller for my Kossel Delta printer clone. With the included 2020 controller bracket, you can place it anywhere on any of the beams on the Delta printer. The hole layout is specifically tailored for the Arduino Mega 2560. To build this case, you will need the following components: * 2 x M3 T-slot hammer nuts to mount the bracket to the beam * 2 x M3 6mm screws to secure the bracket to the beam * 4 x M3 10mm screws (or 8mm for a tighter fit) to attach the case to the bracket * 2 x M3 20mm screws to mount the Arduino Mega 2560 to the case * 1 x M3 30mm screw to secure the Arduino Mega 2560 to the case The holes are all precisely drilled to 3mm in diameter, so you will need to thread them before mounting everything. Custom supports are included that can be broken away to expose the end of the controller in the case. The grills are spaced 2.5mm apart, allowing for easy attachment of M3 screws and various components. You can mount fans almost anywhere on the case using these grills, taking some effort but achieving a snug fit. I had intended to install fans directly to the case by screwing them to the grills. Print Settings: * Rafts: Not required * Supports: None needed * Resolution: 0.2mm * Infill: 50% density Notes: I printed this case in PLA, taking care to design 5mm tall stands for the Arduino Mega 2560 to sit on. This should provide sufficient separation between the Arduino and the case, preventing any potential melting issues. Additionally, fans can be mounted almost anywhere on the case as needed.
