This project is ongoing. Updates will be listed below, with the most recent at the top. UPDATE 2: We've added an ultrasonic sensor adapter for the rail system. Be sure to carefully fit the sensor in the first few times. Afterwards, it should slide in perfectly. UPDATE 1: We've improved the body and main wheels. We've also added rails on top to add on anything you can think of. We're using the "shield" component to hold a breadboard. You could easily modify it into a Raspberry Pi case or other enclosure to expand this platform. We've designed and built this 3D printed Arduino driven robot to use as a platform for projects and for teaching basic robotics, 3D design, and Arduino programming in workshops. This is the second attempt. The first used tank tracks but was VERY complicated! This one is simple and has worked well despite a few bugs. It is still at thing in progress. We will be making several of these so as improvements are made, we will upload them here. We used rafts and supports but would recommend only printing the body with supports and everything else without them in a separate print. If you have the time, of course feel free to use better resolution! You will need 2 9g micro servos converted to continuous rotation. We have a tutorial here ( http://www.makerzoo.co/converting-servos-for-continuous-rotation/ ). You will also need some 3mm bolts and nuts of various lengths. Also, some small rubber bands could be glued into the groove on the main wheels and also the caster wheels. We only had long 3mm bolts so we used a rotary tool and a cutting wheel to cut them off. PLEASE USE SAFETY GOGGLES WHEN DOING THIS! The main wheels now fit much better than previous versions. All you need is the screws that come with your micro servo to secure the wheel to the servo armature. Read more here: http://www.makerzoo.co/the-making-of-a-robot-kit/
