These markers are for indicating Areas of Effect (AOE's) that can be easily removed or overlapped. I think that they are way handier than those metal rings, since these are always in the way and too difficult to center. the lip allows overlapping, so that the vortex of your druids (orboros) or other centered effects can easily be displayed. I also attached an openScad file that allows you to adapt them to the needed size.
