Arizona Terrain

Arizona Terrain

cults3d

This is the state of Arizona as a topographical model. Mountains are up to 8mm high, the base thickness is 4mm (yes, we did stretch the z-axis because if it was to scale the model would be pretty much flat). You probably knew this, but what you see in the north west (top left) where the triangle resolution is dense and elevation changes steep, that's the Grand Canyon. The terrain in the south of the state is also quite interesting, it looks like the spikey mountain ranges are poking through the otherwise flat Basin and Range Province. For a list of the highest mountains in this model, head over to Wikipedia!
