An accurately scaled and modeled low polygon Flight IIA Arleigh Burke class destroyer of the United States Navy. With a polygon count of just 2050 (3780 tris) this model has been professionally developed for simulation and game use. It is properly uv mapped and fully textured using one 2048 x 2048 bitmap which could easily be re-sized to 1024 x 1024 without loss of detail, if required. Texture provided is for DDG-81, USS Winston S. Churchill. This model is available here in .3ds, .fbx, .flt, .lwo (v 6.0), .max (v 2008), and .obj formats. The Arleigh Burke class is a guided missile destroyer that has come to form the backbone of the United States Navy. They are equipped with the Aegis combat system, which integrates the ship's sensors and weapons systems to engage anti-ship missile threats. The armament of Flight IIA Burkes consists of a 90 cell Mk 41 vertical launch system capable of launching Tomahawk land attack missiles, SM-2, SM-3 and Evolved Sea Sparrow Anti-Air Missiles, and ASROC torpedoes. This is complemented by a 5 inch gun, two Phalanx Close in Weapons Systems, and torpedoes launched from a Mk 32 system. They are also equipped with a landing deck and hangar facility for two SH-60 Seahawk LAMPS III helicopters.
