The art deco façade above the Weston Entrance of the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto. This is found above the entrance to the eastern wing facing Queen’s Park that was designed by Alfred H. Chapman and James Oxley and opened in 1933. The carvings above the door is a montage of New World symbols mixed up with the Old World: Canada is represented by a totem pole, tepee and bison while the Old World is represented by an obelisk, pyramid, Assyrian lamassu (winged bull spirit) and zodiac signs. Recorded October 2017 with a Nikon D5500 fitted with 200mm lens.
