Articulated Arms Toolset for PCB Workstation (FDM-optimized)

thingiverse

This toolset is an evolution of the original set of accessories provided with my "PCB Workstation with Articulated Arms" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:801279). It has been specifically designed to get better results from Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printers, so avoiding many common issues caused by this technology. The main element "Ball and Socket Joint" of the articulated arm, is now much more strong and durable. It is has been designed to be printed horizontally on the bed so preventing the loosening of the grip and the breakage of the small wings of the spherical socket (see project pictures). Also, each adapter has been revisited implementing the new hexagonal socket and fixing a few minor issues. Please note that in order to get the desired optimal results, each piece must be printed preserving its original orientation (only rotation along the z-axis is allowed). Moreover, bridging and support structure generation must be enabled in your slicing software. Rafts are strongly recommended too. __________________________________________________________
