I didn't like the idea of printing the entire stand in the original vertical position because it left it prone to weakness in the layering process. Print and glue the two halves of the post together with instant curing glue http://amzn.to/2gBpO55 , then put a couple beads on it at the base and let dry BEFORE inserting into the base to achieve a snug but removable fit.
