Articulated GU10 Lamp Christmas Edition

This is my recent entry for RemixChallenge. Inspired by three things on Thingiverse: Articulated PCB Workstation by giufini http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:801279 Pointy Star by iamnotachoice http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:563306 And my own "ordinary" version of GU10 lamp http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1703148 Please keep best practices in mind during the construction [as also described in my original design]: DO NOT use other than LED bulbs when printing with PLA. Otherwise the shades will get melted shortly and can cause the short circuit in the socket or cable. You can glue GU10 socket inside the shade if needed, Eventually use 2 small screws in socket thru holes to tight it up inside. Be careful with electrical wires and ensure the safety (insulate as appropriate if cable extension is needed, avoid short circuit to prevent the fire etc.) The lamp was printed with gold PLA 1.75mm filament on Prusa I3. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Steel Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 30% Post-Printing Remove the inner bridges in shade body - these are holding the GU10 insert during the print Glue the shade body with the bottom star part (with hole in the middle) with super glue Insert GU10 socket and tighten securely Add joints as needed. 6 were use in this prototype Connect the base to the last joint Tighten the base with 3 countersunk screws to the piece of wood with hole for cable Add extension cable if needed. Check the cable, connection and insulation carefully before connecting to wall plug Enjoy the Christmas star light.
