<p>CHECK OUT VERSION 2.0!</p><p>https://www.printables.com/model/262009-artillery-hornet-dual-5015-print-head-cooling-duct</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I liked the stock yellow hot end cooler system, but it did lack with certain prints and to cope I could only reduce print speed to absurd low speeds. I wanted to keep up good speed, maintain quality, but also not fail on overhangs and bridges.&nbsp;</p><p>The fan ducts currently publicly available aren't to my liking either because of design (subjective) or performance. Size is a critical parameter too.</p><p>So this is my first ever 3D model and I tried to keep it minimal as far as outer dimensions go. The triangular shapes are deliberately designed to copy the theme of original Hornet casing. It does use certain shapes and parts from existing models, but they have been altered a lot.</p><p>There are few modeling errors, but functionality does not suffer nor does the end print. Most problematic parts are hidden anyway.</p><p>Part cooling efficiency is perfect. I print most prints at constant 35-45 % fan speed. Overhangs and bridging 70 %. There has not been a case where 100 % is necessary. I haven't done any torture tests as it really doesn't reflect real world use.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>BLTouch mount is integrated. If anyone printing this for their printer does not have BLTouch you can just leave the mount unused, but I highly recommend getting it and installing it.</p><p>BLTouch probe offsets:</p><p>X = 22</p><p>Y = -36</p><p>Z= user defined</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Necessary hardware:</p><p>2 x 5015 fans (24 V)</p><p>2 x M3 x 20 bolts</p><p>2 x M3 nuts</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Note: there is also a wiring adapter model included which slides into the BLTouch wiring post and I did this to attach to the cable conduit I used for probe wiring. It has slots for ziptie and stays in place nicely.</p>
