Artillery Sidewinder X1 - Z Axis Belt Tensioner

Artillery Sidewinder X1 - Z Axis Belt Tensioner

thingiverse

This is a Z-axis belt tensioner for the Artillery Sidewinder. I wanted something simple to print and easy to tune. Besides the prints you need the ball bearing from an idler arm and the tensioner wheel (I used an aluminum roll lying around - see picture). The ball bearing is just pressed tight inside the aluminum roll and the round rod from the tensioner part also fits tight inside the ball bearing. I've used two screws from the filament holder to connect it to the gantry. Use an M4x18 (or longer) and M4 nut to connect the parts together. The fixed part should be printed with the long thin extension facing upwards. Use a brim to hold it in place
