Artist-D Hemera Mount

This is a complete removal of the Artist-D Extruders and replacement with the E3D Hemera. The Hemera's are not symmetrical, so this was designed with E1 plate being thin and E2 plate being thick. I've included two different plates for E2. The first is non adjustable. The second uses dovetail shaped items and square nuts so you can adjust the height of the nozzle by setting it and tightening 3 M3 screws. Hemera's with their fans fit inside the envelope of the stock metal housing, so you lose no print volume. Other items purchased: M3 Screw Assortment: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08H24W42K M3 Square Nuts: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018503K94 5015 Blower Fan: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DB7DLMM JST Connector Wires: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B076JFFDWN You can keep your stock extruder and wiring intact. I soldered the JST connectors on to new fans, etc. I used the Daughter board in the stock extruders which breaks-out the ribbon cable to the connectors. The only cable I used from the breakout board was the Extruder cable which needed the two middle pins swapped. I printed the entire thing in PETG. Everything was printed at 30% infill except the E1 Plate which I printed at 50% infill with 4 perimeters. If you embark on this endeavor, you will need custom marlin firmware and to adjust the esteps for this extruder. This is version 0 of this design. It works for me but I am sure at some point the E1 plate will fail and I will need to print another. There is lots of tinkering including compiling your own version of marlin. I don't want to spoon feed people. If you aren't comfortable with tinkering you should wait for a later version with better documentation and firmware included. If you do tinker, you will have fun. You can find me on the facebook group: JGMaker Artist D Official User. The firmware I built from was also listed there.
