Askar filter drawer spare slider

Askar filter drawer spare slider

Since the Askar spare filter sliders still aren't available, I made one to print myself. Mine has a small overhang to prevent light leaks. It's tight enough not to use the magnets, but I put them in just in case it gets any looser. Printing is easy, cleaning the plastic up is a pain, especially the fine filter threads. I print with first layer of 0.2mm and the rest 0.1, you only need to switch to 0.1mm when the threads start though at 2mm height. The threads must be cleaning out as best as possible or it won't work. I use a spare M42x0.75 extension tube to thread on first, usually takes a ton of force the first time or two threading all the way on. I used 4x4mm magnets in the holes to snap to the filter drawer. Hopefully Aksar will make the spare sliders available soon so I don't have to deal with printing and cleaning these any more.
