With transparent PLA it is possible to print (asperic/ideal) lenses. Here I offer hyperboloid lenses with 20mm diameter and a (theoretical) focal length of 20mm and 50mm. The lenses must be printed with 100% infill. After printing, the surface of the lens need to be polished. It is possible to design lenses of any kind. However the transparent PLA material is not transparent enough to make high quality optical instruments. However for condensors to focus a light beam, this already works. Have fun. If you want me to make another lens with different diameter and different focal lengh (convex or concav), let me know. If you make one, please measure the focal length, so that we can collect data about the PLA materials in use.
