Astro A50 18650 Li-Ion Enclosure/Frame

This is an enclosure/frame I designed for the Astro A50 series headphones to accommodate an 18650 Li-Ion cell. The mounting clamp snaps tightly onto the right earcup frame and it's shape still allows unobstructed access to the audio mixing rocker plate. The journey to find the perfect gaming/music headset is unending, but the Astro A50s are high on the list. Unfortunately, their stock battery capacity is insufficient and I eventually became completely fed up with the legendarily loud low battery BEEPING. After installing a Nuon 3.6v 3600mah Li-Ion 18650, I've more than tripled my battery life and have easy access should I decide to use an even higher capacity cell at some point. https://www.batteriesplus.com/battery/rechargeable/18650/lithium-ion ________________________________________________________________________ **WARNING** This is a DIY project! You'll need to be capable of disassembling the left earcup to access the stock lithium pack, desolder the battery and it's protection/charge PCB, route three wires from the left to right earcup, REsolder the PCB to a new 18650, solder the 3 leads from the left earcup to the PCB, install my enclosure and the new battery. Of course, using my mod is an agreement releasing me of any liability for damages or injury sustained while attempting the aforementioned procedure.
