Asus AX86U Fan Mount

Asus AX86U Fan Mount

This thing holds 2@ 92mm fans on an Asus AX86U wifi router. I started off printing NiscaTheOne's similar design, but it didn't meet my needs (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5041793). Both versions blocked a few air holes on the router, and have little distance between the fan and router. The thick version was also too thick to work with the standard short fan screws I use. The antenna loops fit perfectly though. So I used those as a basis for for this remix, with the intent to make a more efficient airbox and fit standard fan screws. It can be printed in whatever filament you prefer. I did use supports to help with the top of the large holes as I printed mine in ABS, but I think you can get away without supports filaments that warp less, like PLA or PETG. FWIW, the holes in the back of the router are small and will pack with dust soon if you don't keep it clean. I use these filters on my router fans: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5445615 After setting up my AX86U, I saw CPU temps reach 72C, and wifi temps around 60C. After installing this thing with a pair of Zalmann 1500rpm fans, temps stabilized at around 55C cpu and 38C wifi (same ~85F ambient conditions).
