Update 2-08-2018 - Made slight adjustments to top and bottom pieces for easier assembly because of better fit of the holder. Download Rev 3 top and bottom. Update 3-29-2017 - Adjustments were made to top screw holes upon user suggestion to allow a tighter seam when assembled. Not being satisfied with the print-ability or fit of the others on Thingiverse, I created this. Original Atari ROMs fit as well as the "Atari Age" ROM boards. The finished cartridge shown was made using a downloaded ROM file. This is a easy print no support or bad overhangs/bridges. Mine came out clean. I Used ABS for testing and final print. This design was tested for fit and went through several adjustments to be perfect. This is not meant to be a copy of the original Atari case because that would be unusable off a FDM printer. Labels were made on a color laser with standard paper then sprayed with several coats of automotive clear paint for durability. They were then attached using spray adhesive applied to the back of the label. I actually used clear Flex-Seal for the adhesive. It works very well and the labels are highly scratch resistant. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: MendelMax 1.5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.17 Infill: 35% Notes: When I used a brim I had 0 warping with ABS. I use a heated glass bed covered in ABS juice. Print one each of the following files: ATARI_CARY_REV_2_Long_bott.stl ATARI_CARY_REV_2_Long_top.stl ATARI_CARY_REV_2_holder.stl Post-Printing Use four counter-sunk wood screws of the appropriate size to attach the halves. (#4X1/2) The holder may require light sanding for a perfect fit. Also if your tabs come out brittle you can paint them with some ABS juice to fix. If your retraction settings are correct this wont be necessary. How I Designed This This is a heavily modified model that is based on another very flawed model (didn't fit any Atari was the worst one) that was previously downloaded from Thingiverse, however it has since been pulled down and I cannot locate here or on other sites.
