Athena II Delta 3D Printer Epoxy Resin Syringe Mod

Athena II Delta 3D Printer Epoxy Resin Syringe Mod

thingiverse

A mod designed for Athena II printers(subset of the Delta printers) to allow them to print with 2-part epoxy resin. This is a first prototype, and should not be expected to work perfectly, or even at all, without further modification. The OpenSCAD files are spaghetti-like in nature, and if you dare venture in, let someone know where you're going and bring some chalk. The principle of the design is to drive the gears at the top by running filament through a groove in the gears. Thus, without moving the extruder motor located on the side, we can simply pull the filament through to drive the syringe. The OpenSCAD files rely on a couple bits of other code I did not make. The first is the English fork of the OpenSCAD gear generator, found here: https://github.com/chrisspen/gears Then you will also need the Athena part files, and their own associated subfiles, found here: https://github.com/phidiasllc/athenaII https://github.com/phidiasllc/scad_libraries
