Atlas loo roll holder

Atlas loo roll holder

thingiverse

I used the model of Atlas from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5169130 to create a loo roll holder. I modified the original Atlas model using Microsoft 3D builder so the .3mf files are included here. If your printer is good enough it should print in one go. However I was using a magnetic build sheet on the build plate which that was not holding down well enough and the leverage at the top of the print meant it wobbled and failed right at the top. I then hacksawed off the hands at the wrists, reprint the top bits and join them together with a nail down the arms and some epoxy glue to save having to reprint the whole thing. I will paint it one day to cover over the joins but it has the desired effect as it is. I screwed the base down to my window sill. It's stronger than it looks and has survived several visitors using it. Printed in white PLA with 4 shell layers and 20% zig-zag infill. 8 Brim edges helped to keep the base flat on my unheated bed.
