Hi there, this is the "Atomic Boys" graffitti by the inspiring artist Causeturk. There is a 2D and a 3D version of it as you can see on the pictures. This is my favorit work his. I love how this one came out. Thanks for this fantastic collaboration, it's pushing me to go on with this. Let's get more of it out there. I'm releasing all the files with the artists permission. Go and check out his Instagram (link below) and leave many likes and followings. Feel free to leave some feedback in the comments and let us see your prints. If your an artist and your interested in 3D printing please approach me. ______________________________________________________________________ Print Take a look at the .3mf sclic3r files, you can see all colorchanges and print settings there. I printed the pieces on a Prusa Mini. 3D Version (black and yellow): This is printed with 0.2 mm layers and a z-color change. The color change itself and all relevant printing parameters can be seen and adjusted in the Slic3r .3mf files. The filaments I used are linked below. The first layers is pretty challenging because of the shape of the letters. Maker sure your first layer is calibrated properly and your nozzle and buildplat are really clean. This was the most challanging first layer I printed so far, but if everything is set up properly it just works fine. 2D Version (black and gold) This one is printed with 0.1 mm layers (except first layer 0.2 mm) and a color change in z-direcction. The gold is a bit translucent, you maybe want to scale the piece a bit thicker to make it more opaque when using Eryne gold. ______________________________________________________________________ Design: I was googling 3D- and wildstyle graffiti and Causeturks work popped up and stood out to me. Especially from the printabality point of view. I took one of his black and white pieces "Score" and edited it with paint.net (link below). From there we decided to do some more prints and here we are. I made the image black and white and adjusted the grey values, made the contrast higher, removed some unwanted noise and so on. Then I took the new image to inkscape (link below) and traced the bitmap to create an .svg file. This .svg file is then loaded to Fusion360 (see th .f3d file). Here I had to modify the piece itself. There were a few too small details that would'nt be possible to print. Also some lines on the letters were to thin, so I made them a little bit thicker and added some connectors. I tried to change as few things as possible to keep the soul of the piece. If you do change anything remember to always respect the work of the artist. ______________________________________________________________________ Links Causeturk on Insta https://www.instagram.com/causeturk/ Filament 1 black: https://www.dasfilament.de/filament-spulen/pla-1-75-mm/363/pla-filament-1-75-mm-schwarz-matt?c=11 Filament 2 (Eryone gold): https://www.amazon.com/-/de/stores/ERYONE/page/871AC6E0-A95C-4D22-BF58-1D4695D497C8?ref_=ast_bln Filament 3 (sunny yellow): https://www.dasfilament.de/filament-spulen/pla-1-75-mm/7/pla-filament-1-75-mm-sonnengelb?c=11 inkscape (open source vector image editor) https://inkscape.org/de/ Paint.Net (open source image editing software) https://www.getpaint.net/index.html How to colorchange: https://www.help.prusa3d.com/en/article/color-change_1687
