Atomic Pi Case for Single Board

Atomic Pi Case for Single Board

Atomic Pi, the SBC (Single board computer) needed a snap-able case, so here's mine. The Atomic Pi board sits up a ways on the bottom piece (on 5 screw-able screw mounts) so there's room for Dupont wires to plug into the female power header on the bottom. I used 6 wires total. The bottom also has an opening for the DC female power plug I use (or you can run wires or cable out of this spot too, depending on what you wire up for power). There's a slot for the battery cable to slide under the board too. The bottom piece has 6 notches on the outside, 2 on each long side and 1 on each of the ends. The top piece has 6 notches too, 4 grooves to slide in the sides and the ends each have a piece to snap into place and secure it. This made sense when I typed it, really. The top has openings for the HDMI plug, the sd card, ethernet, USB, and reset bios button. The heatsink sticks out the top similar to the IOT case that was designed for the Atomic PI with the breakout board. The bottom shouldn't need any supports. I print the top with supports (everywhere) since there's some long bridging required, and I'm not brave enough to try it without. Printed earlier versions in PLA (white) that look great, but I've made changes and I'm trying to get PETG (blue) to work since it has more flex. The blue PETG version looks terrible, but I've been having major issues with PETG. I think either material will work with this design. I plan to print this final version in PLA too, but wanted to share it ASAP. Bottom: 115.0 x 145.4 x 16.6 mm Top: 117.0 x 147.4 x 24.8 mm Hope someone finds this useful and prints it, thanks!
