This thing to fix Audi A6 Avant / Allroad (MY: 1999-2005) Cargo shade retraction issue. After years of use usually the cargo shade shaft's retention spring plastic holder broke, so the cargo shade will not retract anymore. This part is designed to be a sturdy base for holding the shaft. Here is an article about the issue and also some fix ideas if the plastic holder is still in place:http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/464749-DIY-Fix-a-broken-cargo-cover. Update1: Also uploaded a small plastic part if the 2 screw bracket witch holds this "cap" in place is also broken just print and glue and push it in place (make sure that the screw hole is drilled/cleaned out to have a flat surface) Update2: 2016 jan. After using it more than one year no problem with the part, its still holding the shaft firmly, also the -10C cold or 40C heat doesn't caused any issues. Instructions Just print from ABS with 75% infill. Then glue in with epoxy two small metal clips witch will hold the spring's shaft in place. In my case the eject mechanisms screws was also broken so this thing will support also these, if yours doesn't broken just drill out these 2 holes. Then just glue in the whole thing with epoxy and should work.
