Audio-Technica ATH-M40X Replacement Hinge

Audio-Technica ATH-M40X Replacement Hinge

thingiverse

This is a replacement hinge for the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x headphones. This is the most complex thing I've made in AutoCAD so far and there have been quite some prototypes before I got to this version. **Note** This replacement is compatible with the stock pin/peg of the headphone. No cutting of wires needed! **Note 2** The speaker part is able to rotate fully. If you want to prevent the wire twisting, you can tighten the bolt/nut combination to prevent this. **Peg/Swivel needed?** In case your peg/swivel is tearing as well, this thing works fine with it: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2823187/ **Additional Materials** Besides one screw used from the old hinge (the one attaching the inner piece to the metal plate), you'll need 2 M3 bolts and 2 M3 nuts per side. I use M3x20mm bolts, but these can be replaced by shorter ones after the nuts have been dragged into the hexagonal holes.
