This Should Work... I'm still testing it, but it appears to take a lot of the bending/strain off the motor wires. You'll need three mini zip ties to mount it. The constant back-and-forth of the print head, bending the extruder motor plug wires ever so slightly finally took their toll. All four wire started to fail and the extruder motor started skipping. rendering prints a disastrous failure. After painstakingly re-soldering all four wires to their micro-sized clips for the motor plug, I decided I didn't ever want to do that again! I designed this Strain Relief bracket to fit the very tight spaces between the extruder motor and its mount on the Aurora a3 Prusa I3 printer. I may work for other printers with the MK8 extruders - I don't know for sure. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: JG Aurora A3 Prusa I3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm Infill: 100% Notes: This Thingi is only 1mm thick in most places, so printing at 100% Infill doesn't increase the time much, and you'll want that extra strength. It does need supports (touching buildplate only). Post-Printing Zip Ties Required You'll need to fit the top-part in first and then flex the bottom slightly around the base of the motor and then it will snap into place. You could take off the extruder from the mounting plate, but that's a pain. There are 3 places for zip ties to mount it to the extruder motor. One is at the bottom to hold it together. The other two are at the top to ties the two sides together with all those wires wrapped inside. You'll find guides built-in to this thingi to help put the zip ties in the right places - See photo of MK8 on printer.
