Automated Aerial Duo-rotor Drone

Automated Aerial Duo-rotor Drone

sketchfab

A simple drone concept which helped me test propeller animations. The drone is inspired by the Syndrome Velocipods from the Incredibles movie, Vulture Droids from Star Wars franchise, and the contra-rotating propellers of Tupolev Tu-95 airplanes. Perhaps a drone like this could fly in real life based on early experiments for VTOL propeller craft. Though, designing a way to keep the rotating ring section attached to the main saucer frame would likely prove too challenging or impossible. Maybe it could stay attached with another rotating ring attached to the main saucer or using some type of magnets. I created the model and assembled the textures using Blender. I created propeller chime sound with Audacity. The textures are solid colors and a 2048x2048 normal map. As a side note Sketchfab seems to have a issue where some models clip through each other with the windy animations. However, these do not appear in Unreal Engine or Blender.
