The present work delve into the design study of a steel tube-punching unit. Indeed, in order to improve its productivity, SICAD COALA Company proposed to conduct a design study of a steel tube-punching unit that can replace an existing production post, which is considered as a bottleneck for production and threatening the safety of labors. In that context, a study of the existing system was carried out in order to determine the failure points and to find out the appropriate solutions, which in their turn will be the subject of a design study divided into two parts: the first part is devoted for the sizing and the mechanical calculations and the second part focuses on the control of the machine. Finally, an economic study was performed to estimate the profitability of the designed machine.
