Automatic Watering Lid

Automatic Watering Lid

thingiverse

This 3D printed lid automatically waters your herb garden or starting pots. It fits perfectly on a standard mason jar (two sizes: wide mouth and small mouth). A small mouth jar sits nicely in a standard size planting tray with four-inch pots (pictured). The trays maintain a small amount of water at the bottom to keep all the pots well-watered. The plants shown in these pictures were grown using this method. Pictured are basil, cilantro, spinach, and arugula. This is ideal for starting plants or growing cut-and-come-again lettuce and herbs. In the downloadable files, you'll find .x3g files ready for printing, along with .stl files and the .blend files if you want to see the design in Blender. There are two sizes available, so you'll find two of each file.
