Continue to enhance beautiful engineer's lamp. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:319339 A try to enhance the rather simple original lamp shade. Redesign took me about 16 hours. I have done it from original photo into a seams-to-be-same designed shade. Optimized to print without supports, use 2 files: lamp_shade NEW1 front.stl lamp_shade NEW1 back.stl (with supporting grid to be cutted away) otherwise use supports lamp_shade NEW1.stl Also the source Rhino file is attached. Enjoy and send me your prints. Print Settings Printer: Flashforge 3D Dreamer Rafts: Yes Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 15% line Notes: to make lamp without supports, it is splitted into bottom + top parts which are rotated. Also a special supporting grid is created to make a "bridging" solution. the distance between grid lines is 10 mm, each grid row is 1.5 mm wide. For my Flashforge 3D Dreamer with ABS print at 0.2mm layer print it worked very well (saved about 1.5 hours support print time and a lot of material).
