Awning Pole Connectors

Awning Pole Connectors

thingiverse

I created these awning pole connectors to simplify the awning setup process for my camper trailer. It reduced my setup from 14 individual poles to 5 groups of poles. I've included designs with 23mm center holes, or 20mm center holes, to accomodate for different awning pole sizes. I found that the plastic end caps of the poles are slightly wider than the pole itself. You may need to file the plastic down on the end cap of your awning pole if the connector doesn't slide on smoothly. To fix the awning pole onto the connector, I've used 1/4" bolts (25mm) with nyloc nuts, with m5 washers on either side. The washers should be no wider than 15mm diameter or they won't fit. I've printed this using PLA at 100% infill because it's what I had laying around, however it's probably wise to use PETG for outdoor application.
