Axe Model Assignment 2 In this project, I will design an axe model that showcases my understanding of ergonomics and functionality. The task involves creating a product that is both efficient and user-friendly. To begin with, the handle of the axe must be designed to fit comfortably in the user's hand. This can be achieved by making it slightly curved and adding textured grips for better control. Next, I will focus on the head of the axe, which should be made from a high-carbon steel alloy that is both durable and resistant to rust. The shape of the head should be designed to allow for maximum chopping efficiency while minimizing fatigue. I will also consider incorporating features such as a hammering end and an edge retention system to make the axe more versatile and effective. In addition, I will research and analyze various materials used in axe construction, including wood, metal, and composite materials. This will enable me to select the most suitable components for my design. The final product should be a well-balanced axe that is easy to use and maintain. It should also meet or exceed industry standards for safety and performance.
