Submission for Texture Painting an Ax Course at CGCookie As I delve into the world of texture painting, I'm eager to put my skills to the test by tackling the challenge of bringing a rugged ax to life. This assignment serves as an excellent opportunity to hone my understanding of how textures interact with one another and create a visually appealing piece that accurately captures the essence of worn metal and wood. In this submission, I'll be showcasing my ability to create a convincing texture that not only looks realistic but also accurately reflects the underlying geometry of the ax's surface. To achieve this, I will employ a combination of techniques such as normal mapping, displacement mapping, and smart material settings. The goal is to produce an ax that exudes a sense of age and wear, with each scratch and dent telling its own story. Below, you'll find my final submission for the course: Texture Painted Ax
