Axial scx24 pass through middle axle for 6x6

This is a diff cover the replace te existing one on the scx24 rear axle if you want to convert it to an pass through / middle axle. I used it together with an 683 3x7x3 ball bearing, but the stock one from the original diff cover should work just as good. Included is the stl for the diff cover, drill jig and and a screw to fixate the tube when you drill the holes in it. The jog is not needed if you have a drll press, or if you can center the hole in another way. This is not a complete documentation how how you should do the conversion.. I used an brass tube with 3,, inner diameter and 3.5 mm outer diameter and cut it to a good length. :-) Used the jig to drill holes for the worm side and the axle side. drilled through the worm gear where the tube hole was. On a 3mm brass rod I used my drill together with an metal file as an lathe to get the brass rod to the correct size to fit the ball bearing. I also filed down the end to fit onto the drive shaft. (I did this before I drilled an hole in the other end of the rod that aligned with the tube.) drilled through and 3 mm brass rod Used the screw from the scx24 kit to screw the parts together. Test the parts that they fits together. Used a lot of loctite to make sure everything holds together It was a lot of trial and error doing this, and if you have the correct tools its better to just do a small threaded hole in the center of the worm gear and in a brass rod and use an thredad rod together with loctite to connect them together, use an drill as an lathe to get the correct size and then just drill an hole through the stock diff cover for the axle output)
