AxiDraw v2 slide adapter
thingiverse
The latest iterations of the exceptional AxiDraw have revised the screw pattern for attaching pen holders to the pen-lift slide. Innovative accessories such as the italic pen adapter, XL pen clip, and pen clip rotation stage are compatible only with this new screw arrangement. What's a disheartened owner of an older AxiDraw v2 model to do? Fabricate a makeshift adapter, that's what! Two versions of this design are available online. One version features receiver holes for the new "straight" pattern set at 2mm, intended to be tapped for 3mm threads. The other has them set at 4mm, allowing for the insertion of a threaded insert. I took precise measurements by creating a charcoal rubbing of the pen-lift and performing some rough drafting. Everything aligns perfectly.
