Axis Foil Stabilizer Shims

Axis Foil Stabilizer Shims

These full length shims reduce the rear stabilizer angle and lift. I'm guessing the stock stabilizer angle is targeted at the 80kg rider, if you are lighter you'll find Axis foils generally produce too much lift leading to stall and breaching on lift off as well as excessive front foot pressure. 3 shims included 1, 0.5 and 0.25 degree. You can move the mast back to compensate for too much lift but that will be at the cost of additional drag. I found that even a 0.25 degree change was noticeable. Axis provide an .stl for a 1 degree shim but it doesn't extend the full length of the mount leaving a gap. Also requires supports resulting in a messy print. These are printed flat and use clamping pressure to shape them.
