A different design for the axle of ossums great trailer https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2055193: - uses 2x1150 ballbearing (D11/5x4mm) like in most Tamiya-Kits used - uses M5 rod length approx. 160mm (like the original, length depending on the wheels you choose!) - uses simplified (yet with less free-play!) brackets and shackles and M3 screws (brackets are now same for front and rear) so you print 4xbrackets and 4xshackles and need 6 screws M3x16, 6 M3 lock nuts and 12 M3 washers. My goal was to have a ball-bearing run axle and to use my leftover tamiya wheels from a CC01 Unimog-Kit. Assembly order of the axle parts, from left to right: Cap nut washer wheel plastic-tamiya 1150 bearing as spacer washer nut (screw this tight together so the wheel is "clamped" between the cap nut and the inner nut) 18mm spacer tube (length depending on your wheels)* 1150 ball bearing (pressed in from the outside into the leafs bearing housing) 90mm spacer tube (press this from the inside into the leaf bearing housing) complete the other side the similar way - ready! By tightening the M3 hinge screws very sensitive you can even adjust a bit of (friction) dampening of the suspension! *the spacer tube can be stretched to the required length in your slicer! This sounds much more complicated than it actually is. If you need further explanations, just send me a message or start a comment. The parts "License plate Trailer" and "Tail Light Trailer" are to be seen on the pictures.
