Aztec Castle or Temple - Jewelry Container, Storage Box or Lamp

thingiverse

This is a temple or scifi castle inspired by aztec architecture. The inside is hollow to reduce the amount of material used, cut down on printing time and so that one can store items inside the print. There is a two piece version that can be used as a storage box for ornaments, jewelry or anything else that would be small enough to fit inside. There is a version designed as a lamp, use the two piece lamp base, it will accommodate wires running out the bottom - the light can be rigged inside the hollow of the castle. All the versions are in STL and thing format (Makerbot). This print looks stunning in natural or white material. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: medium resolution (.2mm layer height) Infill: 16% Notes: If you are using transparent or translucent material you might want to set infill to 0% so that the infill pattern is not visible - I haven't tried that yet but will do that for the next print. How I Designed This Modeled in Modo. Instructions To print a larger model, select the two piece version (base and top). If you have a larger printer and want to print the whole model in one go, then select the one piece version. If you want to print out the version that is designed as a lamp, select the two piece lamp version and the two piece top. You can use the following item for the internal lamp for the castle:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:602016
