B4 to Micro 4/3, Four Thirds Adapter for Panasonic or Olympus

This will adapt a B4 lens to a micro four thirds camera like the Panasonic or Olympus cameras. It's simply a tube with the appropriate connections. Because the large TV camera zoom lenses are so heavy I would not try and hold the lens by only holding the camera. The lens will need to be supported. You will need to adjust the back focus of the lens to bring everything into focus with each adapter. You will also need to turn the teleconverter on, digital zoom, or crop the sensor to fill the screen with the longer adapters, but on the shortest two you can just crop out the corners. These adapters work will well with a TVZ 9.5-152 and 10-100mm Fujinon zoom lens. Because I'm using a 2x digital zoom it's estimated full frame conversion is something around 20-300mm and 20-200mm. I'm still experimenting. There are seven files: The sizes are: .75", .91",1.21",1.25", 1.30", 1.35", and 1.40". You may need to experiment to see what works best for your lens or what you're trying to use the lens for. The 1.30" works best for overall use and focal range. The longer one works better for macro or close focus but won't come to focus on distant objects. With the longer adapter it will focus closer than the lens states it will and provide very good focal adjustment across a very narrow range. The shortest (.75") above is almost half the length of the longest (1.4") adapter. It shortens the focal range of the above lenses to 80mm and up. It doesn't need to have the digital zoom on. It had vignetting in the corners but you can crop it out. However the short adapters blur the picture around the center. The 1.2 has pretty good focus across the picture. So for my kids indoor sporting events I'll likely use the 1.2 to 1.3. I haven't experimented enough yet to find the best one. If I were to take a macro photo of a flower I would use one of the longer 1.35-1.4 adapters. The longer adapters seemed to have better background blur. I found it prints best with the B3 side to the print surface and the MFT at the top. Check out the attached matrix of adapters and the notes that go with them. Next, I plan to add a 1/4"-20 female screw so it can be tripod mounted. Check back later to see or download more updates. To use this adapter / lens you need to set the teleconverter on. On my Olympus OM-5, I set one of the function buttons to 2-3x digital zoom, that way I can much more precisely focus the shot. Others can program a button for focus peaking. Then when I touch the focus button it reverts to full frame and snaps a picture. It also works best with a lens hood. Overhead lights or the sun can easily light wash sections of the picture. Version 1: Had light leaks and didn't align well with the camera and lens Version 2: Fixed light leaks, better lens and camera fitment, more rounds to eliminate need for some support, added alignment ribs, aligned lens with camera better.
