This is a another classic robot from the science fiction series "Lost in Space". The robots are mad to the same scale as the previous "Robbie Robot" as seen in one of the photos. The torso is posable (it turns) I've made 3 variants using different combinations of translucent and black PLA and of course, paint. I have also made 3 sets of arms (retracted, extended and bent), so you can also vary the arm poses. They were printed on a MakerBot Replicator 2. Instructions No supports were required if you print at the default scale. All pieces were printed at standard resolution, except for the cone and the claws. The base, shins, legs, and torso snap together. All other parts must be glued. I recommend painting first before gluing. If you have translucent PLA, use it for the mouth, dome, bottom glass and glass ring. I've had no problems printing this. The only tricky part is gluing the tracks onto the base, otherwise everything is pretty easy. Oh, and the dome is actually hollow so print that using 100% infill and 1 shell. Eventually I might split the dome into halves so that a piece can be put inside it. You may have to sand down a bit, the sides of the mouth and glass inserts for the torso to make them fit properly. Also if the legs and shins don't snap easily together, try reversing them (rotate 180 degrees). They can be a bit snug so you might need to shave the tabs slightly too.
