Baby Cabinet Safety Lock

Baby Cabinet Safety Lock

A basic cabinet lock that spans across two handles to prevent a toddler opening a set of cabinet doors. Originally I was only going to model the spanning section to replace a broken one, but why not print the entire thing instead? Toddler tested and approved. NB: Please note this is only a deterrent. You should always watch your kids. Also I take no responsibility if you use this. It works just fine for me YMMV 11/15/15: Added a new spring (MKII) for use with the new locking shells. Made the tolerances a little easier. Added a guiding rail so the spring won't buckle. Additionally uploaded a new locking bolt which should hopefully fix the issue with some slicers not connecting the teeth Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerGear Printer: M2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 200 Microns Infill: 15-30 Notes: The tolerances on this are quite tight but I wanted to be a snap fit. If you have issues with the shell not fitting then slightly scale the female side. For me it works well as no glue is required. I suggest printing in PETG or ABS as I am not sure PLA will have the strength/flex required for the spring to work. EDIT: Rounded edges on model
