Cause a chick's gotta drink ya know... If you Print one, Share a picture of your Make as a Thank You! Backstory: Some of the Ross School's Innovation lab students are raising chicks in the school's EcoLab and we needed a small water dish. We wanted a dish that the chicks would be unlikely to step in to help prevent their water from being contaminated. We wanted to use a standard PET plastic bottle (here pictured with a "SmartWater" bottle we up-cycled. Note: The smaller water bottles are a little more stable and less likely to leak if filled to the top (too much pressure in the big ones). You can see it in action (if they aren't sleeping) right now on the Ross School EcoLab's live webcam on the chicks. And if you don't see any chicks you can see a short video here: https://youtu.be/GzNiKLl6jKE Some of my other projects: http://innovationlab.ross.org/urban/ Printed with equipment from the [Ross School's Innovation Lab](http://www.ross.org/innovationlab ). PS: I've pulled the OpenSCAD file until I clean it back up. It was derived in part from Sprue's bird feeder base but I used Laird's 2 liter bottle thread. Instructions We've printed out two of these without support. One in PLA and one in ABS. Both with a high level of fill on an Ultimaker 2, 70% or better with a 0.2mm layer height. If you don't have trouble with liquid leaking out of any of your prints then use whatever settings you find work best.
