Baby Gate Pressure Foot

I ended up needing to find a couple of pressure feet for a Baby Gate I'd borrowed from my brother to constrain the dogs from getting into my office.

To that end, I designed something…simplistic…that filled the purpose efficiently.

It can be printed in pretty much any material, though some are going to be ridiculous, obviously (Say Nylon, PC, PEEK, etc.). PLA works fine as does PETG and ABS. Print both parts. You will want/need a standard ¼ inch bolt and nut, with the length of the bolt being as long as you can find…or need to make spacing right.

Print both parts. Take the bolt and glue the head of it into the dome shaped part. Take the nut and glue it into the adjuster puck. I used Go2Glue for the build shown in the picture, any suitable glue that bonds to your print and the bolt will do.

Once set, you have a pressure foot. The nut should be towards the head of the bolt for most situations for maximal strength of the assembly.
