I created a backgammon set for my parents because they love playing the game. The board measures 390 x 340 x 30 mm when open and 190 x 340 x 60 mm when closed, not including the hinge or clasp protrusion. To make the triangular patterns stand out, I designed them to be raised and easily visible even without a multi-colored board. This makes it easy to add color if you prefer. The pips can be stored in the troughs near the hinges for convenient access. Assembly is straightforward with the help of color-coded pictures. A small reminder: don't forget to place the hinge barrel pin, which fits snugly into the hinge. All parts print without supports except for the hinges and quadrants (rounded bottoms). The design ensures a strong connection between parts thanks to connector plate pins, reinforced by super glue for added security. The connector plates and hinges are designed with precision, featuring zero tolerance for a tight fit. I prefer sanding for a perfect fit rather than trying to predict print settings or filament expansion/contraction. Similarly, the pins are crafted with zero tolerance for a snug connection, eliminating the need for sanding.
